TimeCompass FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about AI task extraction, scheduling, pricing, and integrations.

What is TimeCompass?

TimeCompass is an AI-powered personal productivity and time management app. It turns meeting transcripts from Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and HeyPocket into real tasks that are automatically scheduled into your calendar in under three clicks.

Which meeting transcript sources does TimeCompass support?

TimeCompass ingests transcripts from Google Meet (via the Google Meet REST API v2), Microsoft Teams (via Microsoft Graph), Zoom (via Server-to-Server OAuth), and HeyPocket. All sources use a 14-day lookback window with incremental sync to avoid re-fetching known recordings.

How does the AI scheduler work?

The Unified AI Scheduler uses a two-layer architecture: an orchestration layer that coordinates jobs and an AI engine powered by Claude Haiku 4.5. It auto-schedules tasks into open calendar slots based on priority, deadline, and your configured working hours, respecting your local timezone and protecting lunch breaks from being overwritten.

How much does TimeCompass cost?

TimeCompass offers a Free tier and a Premium tier at $24.99 per month. Premium includes a 14-day free trial. The first 100 signups join the Founders Club and receive 50% off Premium for the first 12 months, plus one additional free month for referring two friends.

What is the Founders Club?

The Founders Club is a one-time launch offer for the first 100 TimeCompass signups. Members receive 50% off Premium for their first 12 months. Founders who refer two friends who subscribe receive one additional free month.

What is the difference between the Free and Premium tiers?

The Free tier includes 20 AI-processed meeting transcripts per month, core scheduling, smart breaks, the daily briefing, one calendar connection, and all transcript sources (Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, HeyPocket, pasted text, and email forwarding). Premium adds unlimited transcripts, multiple calendar connections, detailed daily and weekly briefings, and full AI auto-scheduling. After a trial expires, read access stays open and writes to premium features are gated.

Which third-party tools does TimeCompass integrate with?

TimeCompass integrates with Google Calendar, Google Meet, Microsoft Outlook and Teams (via Microsoft Graph), Zoom, HeyPocket, Jira Cloud, Monday.com, and Asana. Payments are handled through Stripe and Apple StoreKit 2, email through Resend, and error monitoring through Sentry.

How does TimeCompass handle my calendar and transcript data?

TimeCompass uses server-side OAuth callbacks so access tokens are never exposed to the browser. Raw transcript text is discarded immediately after AI extraction (typically within seconds of sync) — only the AI-generated summary and metadata are retained. OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Secrets are managed through environment variables, requests are protected by Helmet, rate limiting, IDOR checks, and Zod validation on every endpoint.

Is there a mobile app?

A native iOS app is currently in App Store review. For now, TimeCompass works as a responsive web app at timecompass.ai — open it on your phone's browser and add it to your home screen for a near-native experience. We'll announce App Store availability as soon as Apple approves it.

Can I try TimeCompass without signing up?

Yes. Demo Mode lets anyone explore the full product without creating an account. Demo sessions last 48 hours, are rate-limited to two per IP every seven days, and come preloaded with eight tasks across two projects, four habits with 14 days of history, a Pocket recording with AI summary, a break suggestion, and a scheduled focus block. If you sign up via OAuth during a demo, your session converts in place into a 14-day Premium trial.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel any time from the Settings page. The cancellation flow includes a retention off-ramp so you can pause or switch plans instead if that fits better. After cancellation, read access remains available and write actions on premium features are blocked with a soft paywall.

Does TimeCompass work across timezones?

Yes. The scheduler respects your configured timezone and working hours for every user individually. Daily briefings, morning push notifications, and end-of-day check-ins all fire based on your local time.
